Metal MBE System

Metal MBE System

A second MBE system is attached to the central rotary transfer system to allow growth of metal or superconducting samples. Currently this MBE system is being set up to grow superconductors to study spin dependent tunneling in ferromagnetic-vacuum-superconducting junctions. Samples grown in the system can be transferred in situ to any chamber on the system using the central rotary transfer system.
