Contact Information

David Rutter is an Electronics Technician in the Electron Physics Group in CNST. He received an Associate in Electronic & Computer Technology from Electronic Institutes, Middletown, Pennsylvania. David has over 10 years experience in power and precision instrumentation and has held positions in government and private industry as an electronics technician, signal support system specialist, and engineering technician. His prior places of employment include Spirent Communications, and Techkor Instrumentation. Since joining NIST in 2005 David has constructed numerous electronic instruments for controlling state-of-the-art scientific experiments. Of particular note are the electronic devices associated with scanning tunneling microscopy (STM). In 2006 and again in 2008, David was recognized for producing electronic instruments critical to ongoing Electron Physics Group research. David is under the supervision and guidance of Alan Band, EPG Electronics Engineer.
