Young Jae Song, Postdoctoral Research Associate

Young Jae Song is a University of Maryland Postdoctoral Research Associate in the Electron Physics Group in CNST. He received B.S., M.S. and Ph. D. degrees in Physics from Seoul National University, Seoul, Korea, where his Ph. D. thesis received the Graduate Student Research Award. Young Jae first came to the Electron Physics Group in 2006 on a postdoctoral scholarship from Korea Research Foundation (KRF) in 2006 to work with Dr. Joseph A. Stroscio. He now continues to work with Dr. Stroscio on the construction of a 20mK UHV Scanning Tunneling Microscope (STM), and also conducts STM studies of dilute magnetic semiconductors (DMS).
