Recruitment AnnouncementELECTRON MICROSCOPISTThe Center for Nanoscale Science and Technology (CNST) at NIST in Gaithersburg, MD is seeking an exceptional experimentalist with a strong
record of creativity and achievement in the field of in situ and/or dynamic electron microscopy. The applicant should have a strong interest in development
of new instrumentation and measurement methods to advance the state-of-the-art, and should posses the leadership abilities necessary to build and lead a
thriving research program. It is important that the applicant be able to interact with multiple disciplines and present effectively their programs to a
variety of audiences. The new research program will interface with and build upon extensive NIST programs for electrical, magnetic, chemical, physical,
optical, and biological nanoscale measurements and standards. Significant opportunity exists within CNST for cross fertilization in the development of
MEMS/NEMS for in situ mechanical measurements as well as with nanophotonics/nanoplasmonics for in situ optical measurements. For additional information

To qualify, candidates must have a PhD degree in physical science or engineering, or equivalent experience combined with education. Experience in transmission electron microscopy is required.
